 For the last 23 years Ron Misa has played men's fastpitch softball. Currently he divides his time between playing and coaching. In 1986 his team was the first team from New York City to make the men's major fastpitch nationals. Ron has played on 17 ASA fastpitch national final teams. In 1999 Ron played on Vanguard from Kearny, New Jersey. They were the first team from New Jersey to win the ASA Men's Class C national championship. From 1994 to 2000 Ron was the Assistant Girls Softball Coach at Manhattan Center High School for Math and Science. Since 2001 he is the Assistant coach at Preston High School in the Bronx. Ron also Coachs for the traveling team the Queens/Nassau Comets for the last four years. When not coaching Ron has worked as a Commodity Floor Trader since 1987. He is a Member of the New York Board of Trade since 1990 and a Comex member 1987-1990. |
